There is no Age Limit to apply and appear for WB SET.
However, for appointment the upper age limit shall be considered by the employer.

WB SET Examination : Eligibility Criteria
Master’s Degree OR equivalent Examination from Universities/Institutions recognised by UGC with 55% marks for General/EWS candidates and 50% for Other Backward Classes(OBC) belonging to non-creamy layer/ Scheduled Caste(SC) /Scheduled Tribe(ST)/ persons with disability(PWD)/ Transgender category candidates.
Candidates whose result is awaited can also apply and appear for WB SET 2025, provided they must complete their Master’s degree or equivalent Examination within two years from the date of SET result with required percentage of marks, failing which they shall be treated as disqualified.
Ph.D. degree holders whose Master’s level Examination had been completed by 19th September 1991 (irrespective of date of declaration of result) shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks (i.e. from 55% to 50%) for appearing in SET.

The exam consists of 2 papers.
Paper 1 comprises of 100 questions for 50 marks.
Paper 2 consists of 100 questions for 200 marks.
Duration of paper 1 is 1 hour while for paper 2, it is 2 hours.
