RRB Group D Recruitment 2026: Selection Process
The selection of Group D vacancies in Indian Railways will be based on the score of the CBT while the following stages of selection are qualifying in nature. Thus, the recruitment process shall comprise of the following stages:
- Computer Based Tests (CBT).
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
- Document Verification (DV) and
- Medical Examination (ME).
RRB Group D CBT Exam Pattern
The Computer Based Test of RRB Group D Recruitment 2025 shall carry 100 marks for 100 questions. Each question shall carry 1 mark while 1/3 marks shall be deducted for each wrong answer. Candidates need to score minimum mark as per recruitment rules to qualify the test. As per the RRB Group D Notification 2025, category wise minimum qualifying mark is 40% for UR/EWS, 30% for OBC (Non creamy layer) / SC / ST. The tabular view of the CBT is as follows –

- The total number of questions in the exam are 100.
- Each question carries one mark.
- Maximum marks are 100.
- Negative marking scheme @ 1/3 marks for each wrong answer is applicable.
- Test duration is 90 minutes (For physically challenged candidates – 120 minutes).
How to download RRB Group D Admit Card 2026 Online ?
- First of all visit the official portal of any RRB i.e, rrbguwahati.gov.in
- You will land on the homepage of the official portal.
- On the homepage, search for the related link “RRB Level 1 CEN 08/2024 Call Letter“.
- Tap on the link to visit the login page.
- Now, a Login Window will appear on the screen.
- Next enter the Application Number and Date of Birth.
- Recheck the details and click on Login.
- Next download the CBT e-Call Leter.
- Finally, keep the hard copy of it for the exam
RRB Group D Physical Efficiency Test (PET) Scheme
Candidates will be called for PET based on the merit of the Computer Based Test results. Approximately 03 (three) times community wise of total vacancy notified against the RRB will be the number of the candidates to be called for PET of Group D recruitment. PET will be qualifying in nature and every candidate shall have to qualify this Test for final selection. The Physical Efficiency Test will have the following criteria to qualify-
