UP Police Constable Written Exam Importance
Uttar Pradesh Police Constable Selection Stages has a Written Examination at the first stage. This means the candidates who have submitted the application correctly shall be eligible to appear for the test. The next stage of the selection is Physical Standard Test and Physical Efficiency Test. Both of these tests are qualifying in nature. It is to note here that only the candidates who clear the Written Examination shall be eligible to appear for the PST & PET round. UP Police Constable Written Examination Pattern
The UP Police Constable Written Examination is an objective type question test carrying 300 marks. Candidates will be able to see the questions both in Hindi and English. The time duration of the test is 2 hours (120 minutes) while there will be a negative marking of 0.25 for every wrong answer. Primarily, the UP Police Written Examination shall have the following four subjects –

Uttar Pradesh Police Constable Physical Test 2026 Details
In this test, the physical measurement of the candidates will be verified the Recruitment Authority. This stage is known as Physical Standard Test (PST).
