RRB Bhubaneswar started as Railway Service Commission, Bhubaneswar was established in the year 1983 and started its functioning from IRC Village, Nayapalli Bhubaneswar. At present, RRB Bhubaneswar is functioning at D-79/80, Rail Vihar, Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar since 01.06.2000.
With regards to jurisdiction, RRB Bhubaneswar has its Jurisdiction over East Coast Railway Headquarter, Khurda Road Division, Sambalpur Division and Macheswar Workshop since 01.04.2003 after formation of newly East Coast Railway.
