CUET UG 2026 Notification: Good News for the students who have been waiting for admission into top Central Universities. As the University Grant Commission (UGC) has brought important information for the students who are willing for admission to Central Universities after passing the 10+2 Examination. According to the UGC Notice, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct an Entrance Test named as Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate or CUET – UG for admission to the Undergraduate Programmes in Arts & Commerce in this academic session. Thus, admission to top universities like Delhi University, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Jamia Milia Islamia etc will only be through CUET UG Scores.
CUET UG Introduction – Common University Entrance Test (Under Graduate)
CUET UG or Common University Entrance Test – Under Graduate is an Undergraduate entrance test for all the Central Universities (CUs) for the academic session 2026-27. Thus, CUET as the name suggests will be a common entrance exam to students to seek admission in any of the Central Universities (CUs) across the country. Moreover, as per the available information, the CUET (UG) 2026 will be a Computer Based Test (CBT) for the applicants. Hence, the aspirants who desire to appear for the test, may refer to the Information Bulletin for admission to Undergraduate programmes of the desired Central Universities (CUs).
What is the Exam Pattern in CUET UG?
The Common University Entrance Test will have questions of the Class XII Standard. Moreover, the Exam will have the following sections as under –

CUET UG 2026 Notification Registration Starts
As per NTA Notification Dated 3rd January 2026, the Online Application Forms for CUET Undergraduate Programmes will open from 3rd January 2026. NTA will provide the link for the same on the official website https://cuet.nta.nic.in/. Thus, the candidates who wish to appear for CUET (UG) 2026 should go through the required eligibility of the desired University/ Universities for selecting the options from UG Programmes being offered. Please Note that the Online Application will be open from 3rd to 30th January 2026 (up to 11.50 PM).
