CTET Eligibility Criteria

Educational QualificationSenior Secondary or its equivalent examination with the minimum 50% marks and should have cleared or appeared final year exam of Diploma in Elementary Education for two years.
Age Limit as on 01.07.2025Minimum Age : 18 Years
Maximum Age : 40 Years
There is age relaxation for the reserved categories of applicants as per their regulations.

CTET Qualifying Criteria

As per the CTET Notification, the aspirants who want to appear for the CTET need to score the following score in order to qualify the test –

Candidates who qualifies the CTET shall be awarded Pass Certificate. The Validity Period of CTET qualifying certificate for appointment will be for life time for all categories. There is no restriction on the number of attempts a person can take for acquiring a CTET Certificate. However, a person who has qualified CTET may also appear again for improving his/her score.

CTET Exam Pattern 2026

The CTET Exam Pattern sharing the complete details of the subjects, marking scheme, test duration is shared here for the aspirants to perform the best in the online examination. Actually, as per the notice there will be two papers of CTET.

  • Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.
  • Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.

Note: A person who intends to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II).
